On-The-Road-Histories Michigan

"On-The-Road-Histories Michigan"

I read a book, "On-The-Road-Histories Michigan" by David Lee Poremba. The book illustrated the entire history and broad culture in Michigan State. Recently, I learned that each State in the U.S.A. is like a country, which has a unique history and cultural background. The book taught me that Michigan is characterized by natural beauty, wildlife, crops and minerals. In its history, the War for fur trade between French and Britain, and the history of modern industry might be noted. After reading the book, I read "Fathers and Sons" by Hemingway, which is a short story in "Nick Adams Series." After knowing the Michigan's history, I can understand that the relationship among Nick, his father, and his son looks natural. I thought that if I read American novels more, I would understand American cultures more deeply. I think that to read famous novels in an original language is useful to understand people, their thoughts and feelings, and cultures.
